Whether you are looking to learn a new instrument or take your playing to the next level on an existing instrument, private lessons are perfect for achieving your goals. Private lessons provide the ideal environment to learn an instrument, as each lesson is specifically tailored to your unique needs and goals and the instructor is able to give you their full attention to ensure that you are building proper technique. The one-on-one environment allows the student to learn in a safe environment free from judgement and distractions.

  • Lessons will be once a week to ensure a consistent learning schedule while allowing enough time between lessons for the student to practice what they learned the previous lesson. Lessons will vary from student to student depending on their needs and goals. In general, each lesson will consist of technique, reviewing previous concepts, learning new concepts, and theory.

  • Payment

Payments are due at the first lesson of each month. If payments are not received at the first lesson of the month, they are considered late, and a $5 late fee is charged for each week the payment is late. Payments can be made via cash, check, credit card, Venmo, or PayPal.

    Scheduling

Lesson times will be scheduled for the same day and time each week. It is the student’s responsibility to let the instructor know if they need to miss a lesson for any reason. Students are expected to arrive a few minutes early to their lessons so that they have time to set up their equipment and be ready by the start of the lesson time. The instructor is not required to extend the lesson time for students who arrive late.

    Cancellations and Make Up Lessons

Students are responsible for communicating any cancellations or rescheduling with the instructor. Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least one week prior to the lesson being missed, other than emergency situations. In emergency situations, the instructor must be notified of the cancellation by noon the day of the lesson. The instructor will do their best to schedule a make-up lesson, but a make-up lesson cannot be guaranteed in all situations. Lessons missed without prior notice will not be made up. You will not be refunded for missed lessons if one week prior notice is not received, other than emergency situations. A maximum of three emergency cancellations are permitted. Lessons will not be refunded after the third emergency cancellation.

Lessons missed because of instructor absence will always be rescheduled or refunded if a make-up lesson is not possible.
